Your Questions, Answered
-
We specialize in new home basement finishing, existing basement remodels, and bathroom remodels.
-
Yes. If you’re wanting a partial remodel, we can still help you in freshening up the space.
However, if you are only looking for single-trade items (new floors or paint, for example) we’d usually refer you to someone else. As a General Contractor we are best set up to manage a larger scope of work with multiple trades, so it is usually more cost effective for you to find a single/specialized tradesperson if that is all you need.
-
This is the money question we love to answer. We have dedicated pricing pages right here on our website for both bathrooms and basements.
-
When you work with us, you do not have to pull permits. If any permits are required by your city for your remodel, we take care of it. We are a fully licensed general contractor which allows us to complete every aspect of your project for you, including pulling permits.
-
The time of year and number of projects we currently have booked makes this question hard to answer, but we can give you some insights on what the process looks like!
Step 1: Book your project site visit
We’re typically booked out anywhere from one to four weeks for site visits. To get your project started, fill out our contact form to get on the calendar!Step 2: Project Proposal
After we’ve met with you to discuss your project, it will take us between 2-3 weeks to provide you with a full project proposal.Step 3: Approve Your Proposal
Once you approve your proposal, we jump into design! Kristen works with you one on one to decide all the material selections that will be going into your remodel. This process can take anywhere between 3-6 weeks, largely depending on your availability and how quickly you’re wanting to get started.
While you work on selections with Kristen, Luke works on pulling any necessary permits with the city and scheduling the team.
4: Project Start!
After Luke receives the permit and locks in the team, we confirm a start date with you and get rocking and rolling! -
When we’re working on your project, you have our full attention. We don’t leave your home mid-project and leave you hanging. Because of that, we can typically complete projects quickly with minimal down-time.
For reference, a full bathroom remodel usually takes around 3-4 weeks, and a full basement finish is usually 6-8 weeks.

We do not do kitchen remodels. Our team specializes in two ares of the home: the basement and the bathroom.
That being said, if you’re wanting to add a wet bar, dry bar or even a full kitchen to your basement, we can absolutely do that!
-
We will replace windows and exterior doors if it is part of a basement or bathroom remodel, but otherwise no - we do not offer exterior services.

Yes! Our shower remodel package includes demo, all new plumbing, a brand new base, walls, sliding glass door, and fixtures. When we are done, so is the project!
-
Absolutely! A lot of people are wanting to rip out their old Jacuzzi tubs in favor of a beautiful new freestanding soaker tub or to add storage space. Because of how these tubs are installed, these replacements are typically a little more involved as they require new flooring throughout the bathroom as well as some drywall work. We’d be happy to provide you with a quote for your exact needs!

We use specialized trade contractors for all of our remodel work. However, here is where we differ from a lot of other general contractors…
Where other GC’s will book a project and then send the work out for the lowest bid, we use the same specialty tradesmen over and over. We are very selective about who we allow onto “Team Larson”, because we want to ensure the work is going to be done right the first time, and that it’s going to be a great experience for you and for them. This may result in a slightly higher cost for your project, but you can rest assured that you’re getting a vetted team who are not only great to be around, but experts in their trade.
-
Absolutely! While we handle all the purchasing for ease of returns and warranty issues, Kristen will work with you one on one to guide you through the selections process to make sure we hit the bullseye when it comes to your vision for your space.
-
In some cases yes, in some cases no. We would be happy to discuss this with you if there is something you’d like to handle yourself to save a little money!
-
We love pets! We’re animal people and would sit and play with your fur babies all day if we could. That being said, it is best to keep your animals locked away from the project area while work is going on. This is both for the safety of your pets, as well as the safety of our crew.
We would highly recommend keeping them in a locked away area that keeps them out of the project space and away from the front door. While our team will do everything they can to be mindful while going in and out of your home, we are not responsible for pets that may escape.

Deposit: 50% down. This handles the purchasing of materials, pulling of permits, and deposits for our trades team to get your project on the schedule and moving forward.
Progress Payments: Depending on the scope of work, we’ll typically have two 20% progress payments at milestone parts of the project. These are laid out in detail when you receive your project proposal.
Punch List: 5% is due at substantial completion/creation of the final punch list.
Final: The final 5% is due once the punch list is completed.
