Maple Grove, MN

What started as water damage from a burst dishwasher line became a complete basement transformation. A gorgeous and expansive entertaining area, a kitchenette, a gutted and rebuilt bathroom with a new layout, custom barn doors, and a brand new exterior French door to expand the view of the lake; all with a coastal, nautical look throughout.

We quoted 8-10 weeks, and finished in 9.5 weeks.

Coon Rapids, MN

An unfinished basement turned into a space made for entertaining. It wasn’t plumbed for a bathroom, so we added the plumbing and built one from scratch. We also cut in a new egress window, replaced every hopper window, and spray-foamed and sealed the entire space, so what was once a damp, uninviting basement is now a place to relax.

We quoted 8 weeks, and finished in 7 weeks.

FAQs

We do all the planning, material selections and ordering ahead of time so that all the materials are on site and ready to go before we begin construction. Because of this, a typical basement finish for us takes anywhere between 6-10 weeks depending on the size and extent of the remodel.

How long does a basement finish or remodel take?

Yes. We are a fully licensed remodel general contractor, and we have great relationships with the city inspectors in the north and west metros. We handle all permits and set up any inspections that are needed in relation to your project.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Every project includes design assistance. You'll get a floor plan of your new space and custom 3D renderings, so you can see how it will look and feel before any work begins.

At a minimum, we'll give you a clear list of every selection you need to make, the date each one is due to keep your project on schedule, the best places to shop, and your allowance for each item based on your approved proposal, so you stay within budget.

Most of our clients go a step further and work closely with Kristen. She'll guide you through colors, materials, and styles, and make sure every choice works together so the finished space feels cohesive and intentional rather than pieced together. You get as much or as little of her help as you'd like, and most people find that having her in their corner makes the whole process easier and a lot more fun.

Can you help with material selections?

Absolutely! Whether your basement is already plumbed/set up or we need to trench new plumbing, we’ve done it all.

Can I add a bathroom or kitchenette?

In order to legally be a bedroom, yes. We can include the installation of egress windows in the scope of your project if this is something you’d like to add in for bedroom purposes or simply for additional light!

Do bedrooms need egress windows?

Moisture is something we take seriously in all of our projects. We understand firsthand how mold can wreak havoc not only on the materials your home is made of, but also on the health of those living inside your home. If you have ongoing moisture issues in your basement or have had past flooding, we would love to have a conversation with you to help ensure this won’t be an issue in the future.
